La società incui viviamo è in molti dei suoi aspetti violenta. Oggi più che mai quel senso di sicurezza che abbiamo cercato di costruire, ogni giorno che passa va sempre di più a disgregarsi. E’ come se, aperta la porta di casa, trovassimo centinaia di fucili puntati contro di noi.In quell’istante, all’improvviso, il punto di vista cambia, la prospettiva si allarga e tutto quello che pensavamo non ci riguardasse ora chiede prepotentemente la nostra attenzione.Quell’indifferenza che si è sviluppata osservando il mondo filtrato da uno schermo ora diventa preoccupazione, paura, odio,pensiero, ricerca di soluzioni, ma soprattutto dimostra quanto le nostre azioni hanno ripercussioni su tutto quello che ci circonda e non solo nelle immediate vicinanze. Allora READY, AIM, FIRE!! È COME DIRE PRONTI PARTENZA VIA!! Ognuno ha un suo modo personale di affrontare una minaccia e lo scopre solamente quando si trova minacciato: quelle parti di noi addormentate nel profondo riaffiorano permettendo, a volte, di sorprenderci di noi stessi e nel contempo di comprenderci meglio.
The society in which we live in is violent in many ways. Today more than ever that sense of security that we have tried to build, appears more separated with each passing day. It’s like opening your front-door and finding a hundred guns pointing at you. All of a sudden in that instant your point of view changes, your perspective widens and all of the things that you thought didn’t affect you now demand your attention. That indifference that we developed observing the world filtered through a screen now turns itself into worry, fear, hate, a search for solutions, but above all it reflects how our actions have consequences upon all that surrounds us, and not only the things that affect us directly. Therefore, READY, AIM, FIRE!! IS LIKE SAYING READY, STEADY, GO!! Everyone has their own personal way of dealing with a threat and generally this is only discovered once you become threatened: those parts of us that are in deep sleep resurface permitting us, occasionally, to surprise ourselves and at the same time allow us to understand ourselves better.
